Unfortunately, Will never learned the truth in season 2, leading one to assume thatthe mystery behind his paternity could be solved in season 3.
James was the only candidate asWill’s father inWill Trentseason 2,and the GBI agent’s encounter with the murderer in episode 2 surely had a significant impact on him. Will seemingly doesn’t want to know if James is his father. However, sinceWill Trentseason 2 focused on Will exploring his roots, the question of whether James is his biological father or not will surely come up in future episodes.
8Will Meeting His Uncle & Visiting Puerto Rico For The First Time

After learning his mother’s identity (and the horrific way she died) inWill Trentseason 1, Will wanted to know more about where he came from. When Will saw him in prison, James Ulster told the GBI agent that his uncle was Antonio Miranda, but Will was hesitant to reach out to him because he was afraid of rejection. Eventually, Nico’s words of encouragement gave Will the courage to call his uncle, and, as it turned out, there was nothing to be scared of becauseWill’s Uncle Antoniowas ecstatic about meeting his nephew inWill Trentseason 2.

Will and Antonio bonded over their similarities (like being dyslexic) and byWill Trentseason 2, episode 6’s ending, Will had introduced Antonio to his chosen family. The uncle/nephew duo formed a strong connection, and Antonio was even the one to calm down Will after he remembered the repressed memory from his childhood. Antonio then took Will to Puerto Rico in episode 9 and helped him connect to his roots. Will Trentseason 2 began with Faith Mitchell seeing (aka sleeping with) Luke, but she was hesitant to put a label on their relationship, while he wanted to make them official. Over the course of the season,Faith struggled to take the leap in her relationship with Luke,given that, as a mother, she rarely ever had time to think about herself and her needs. So, throughoutWill Trentseason 2’s ten episodes, Faith couldn’t commit to Luke, until the finale’s last moments.
Faith is finally ready to be with Luke completely, and their romance will undoubtedly cross over intoWill Trentseason 3.

One ofthe most impactful moments fromWill Trentseason 2 was Will recalling his repressed memoryas he frantically paced around his living room, essentially having a panic attack. Will had been seeing visions of himself as a child all season long, and he had no idea what they meant or where they came from. However, in episode 8, Will finally put the pieces together, and the truth was more devastating than anyone could have imagined.
[Will] hasn’t had time to process the new trauma fully, and the GBI agent might even wonder if he has any other horrifying repressed memories.
Will formed a strong bond with one of his foster mothers, Anna, when he was a kid, but the dad, Jack, was a complete deadbeat who abused his wife. One night, Will wanted to protect Anna, so he got Jack’s gun and shot him in the arm. The older man wrestled the weapon away from Will, beat him with it, and was about to shoot him when Anna stopped him. Sadly, that led to Jack shooting and killing Anna, andWill felt so much guilt over her death that his mind forced him to repress the memory.

The detective found out Gina was cheating on him, but since Ormewood had his fair share of affairs, he was willing to look past it and become a better man for his wife and children. It was like a wakeup call, and when Gina checked herself into a mental health facility, Ormewood tried to be the best father he could be to his son and daughter, Max and Cooper.
AlthoughOrmewood experienced terrific character development inWill Trentseason 2and was, by all means, a good dad, Gina still wanted a divorce when she returned in the finale. While divorce was certainly for the best, given their history, Gina then dropped the (actual) shocking bomb — she was moving away and going to seek full custody of the kids. Ormewood seemed to accept the divorce news well, but he became quite stern when Gina mentioned getting custody and told her, “I’m really glad that you’re feeling better. But there is no way in hell you’re taking my kids.”

Murray was a serial rapist, and when he was about to be let free because one of his victims was too afraid to testify,Amanda planted 28 grams of cocaine on him.Consequently, Murray served 30 years in prison, but his sentence ended in episode 5.

One oftheWill Trentseason 2 finale’s biggest twistswas the revelation thatCrystal was the serial killer Will, Faith, and Ormewood were looking for.Of course, the audience knew she was capable of murder because she killed Lenny in season 1, but it was still shocking. Once Angie learned the truth, she tried to help the teenager, but Crystal ran away. She tried jumping on a rock to get away from Angie, but Crystal slipped and fell, fatally hitting her head, and the river carried her downstream. Angie caught up with Crystal’s body, but it was too late.
Angie beganWill Trentseason 2, episode 10 in good spirits as she felt like she was finally in a good place in her life. She had Will and a potential job with the GBI, so, everything was coming up roses. However, that all fell apart when Angie discovered Crystal had been killing more sexual predators. Crystal’s death just added more salt to the wound (along with Angie’s later arrest), and whenWill Trentseason 3 premieres,Angie will be mourning Crystal and potentially at the lowest she has ever been (which says a lot).
2Will Arresting Angie
OnceWill discovered Angie had covered up Lenny’s murder,he had to make one of the most difficult decisions he would ever have to make in his life. At first, when Will took the elevator up to the APD’s floor to see Angie,theWill Trentseason 2 finale showed a flash-forwardof what Will and Angie’s life could have been if he didn’t turn her in for obstructing justice. They got married, had children, and their children gave them grandchildren. Unfortunately, it was all just a dream, and in reality, Will arrested Angie.
Arresting Angie might be the most significant moment ofWill Trentseason 2 that will have the biggest impact on season 3. Itcuts off any possibility ofWill and Angie’s relationshipever working,seeing as it might be hard for someone to choose to spend the rest of their life with the person who arrested them.
