Are Destiny 2 servers down? Server status, maintenance & outage updates

Are the Destiny 2 servers down?
Destiny 2’s servers have been taken offline on July 15 for scheduled mainteance to accomodate Update 9.0.0.1, which adds new expansion, The Edge of Fate.

Scheduled maintenance is standard for Bungie’s looter shooter, with the servers going down every Tuesday for theweekly resetat 7:30 AM PST/10:30 AM EST/3:30 PM UTC and coming back online at 9:00 AM PST/12:00 PM EST/5:00 PM UTC.

However, the servers will sometimes go offline for other reasons, such as to resolve game-breaking bugs or because they were overloaded following a big update. In these instances, you’ll want to follow these instructions to stay informed.
