Why The DC Universe Doesn’t Need To Rush Their Batman Reboot
There Are Plenty Batman Stories On The Way
While it is understandable that fans are eager for the DC Universe’s Batman reboot, there is no reason to rushThe Brave and The Bold. To begin with, when it comes to the Dark Knight on the big-screen,Matt Reeves’The Batman - Part IIis currently in development, continuing Robert Pattinson’s iteration of the character. Even though that is part of the Elseworlds banner for DC Studios, the movie worldisn’t exactly lacking Batmanright now.
ThoughThe Flashfilmmaker Andy Muschietti is currently attached to directThe Brave and The Bold, it is clear from many of Gunn’s past statements that the screenplay is not finished, as a writer hasn’t even been announced. It’s also crucial to take into account thatthere are other DC Universe movies and TV shows that are further along thanThe Brave and The Bold, which is why casting and pre-production are being prioritized on some of those projects. SinceThe Brave and The Bolddoes not yet have a release date, it is likely that theBatmanreboot is definitely a few years out.

Even thoughThe Brave and The Boldmay not be starting production anytime soon,it wouldn’t be shocking if the new Batman at least has a reference or twoin otherDC Universe movies and TV showsbefore starring in his film. Given how much focus Batman has always had in the media, both through animation and live-action, it’s better that other DC characters get to show up first in the DC Universe that may not have had the same attention in past decades. For now, the world will just have to wait and see when they will actually get news aboutThe Brave and The Bold.
