Summary
Demon Slayer:Hashira Trainingepisode 7 was a slightly longer episode than usual, and set up the arc’s finale quite well, with a shocking appearance by Muzan at the Ubuyashiki mansion. All the pieces are in place for a final showdown between the Slayers and the demons, setting up for the series' last arc, which isrumored to be a trilogy ofDemon Slayermovies.
Episode 7 saw Tanjiro complete his training with the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, who then revealed his own past to the boy as a means of apologizing for his initial behavior towards Tanjiro and Nezuko. Himejima’s tragic past makes it understandable as to why he was so mistrusting of Tanjiro when he first showed up. The episode also spent a little more time with the Wind and Water Hashira, with the former finally spotting one of the demonic eyes which have been spying upon the demon slayers for a while now.

What Happened in Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #7?
Tanjiro Gets to Know the Stone Hashira
Episode 7 ofDemon Slayer: Hashira Trainingopened with Tanjiro completing his training with the Stone Hashira, having moved the boulder the required distance. The Hashira shared his past, telling a story of how he once ran a temple that cared for orphans, until one of the orphans let a demon into the building, which slaughtered all the kids except for one. While Himejima managed to defeat the demon with only his bare hands, the child blamed him for killing the kids, and Himejima was nearly executed before Ubuyashiki saved him. This gave Himejima a distrust of children, which came out when Tanjiro first arrived.
Tanjiro also paid a visit to Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, who was sparring with the Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa when Tanjiro arrived. After some harsh words with Sanemi, Tanjiro and Giyu spent a little time together, both hoping to somehow repair their relationship with the touchy Wind Hashira. The episode ended with Muzan slowly walking into a building, which was soon revealed to be the Ubuyashiki mansion. Muzan came face to face with Ubuyashiki, a long time thorn in his side, for the very first time, ending the scene on an incredibly dramatic cliffhanger.

Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #8 Unites the Hashira
The Final Battle Kicks Off
Episode 8 ofDemon Slayer: Hashira Trainingis entitled “The Hashira Unite.” WithMuzan Kibutsujiat Ubuyashiki’s door, the Hashira will have to act incredibly fast if they’re to save their patron. With Sanemi having already spotted one of Muzan’s demonic eyes spying on them, they may just have enough warning to get there in time. Of course, Muzan is no fool, and he’s unlikely to be stalled for long by talking to his enemy. Muzan surely has no compassion, either, and will wipe out the bedridden man without a second thought.
The Hashira and any other Slayers available will no doubt converge on Muzan’s position, thus initiating what will beDemon Slayer’s final battle. Muzan has many powerful allies left, such as the top member of the Twelve Kizuki, Kokushibo, who will prove an incredible challenge to defeat, but the heroes have a few surprises of their own–like Lady Tamayo and Shinobu’s secret project.

Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc Episode #7 Got to Know Its Most Mysterious Hashira
Episode 7 Finally Reveals the Past of the Most Enigmatic Hashira
Episode 7 ofDemon Slayer’s Hashira Training arc largely stuck to the manga, and as a result, finally gave fans a look into the least known of the Hashira, Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima. Himejima’s backstory is appropriately sad and explains his behaviors well, like most of the Hashira whose pasts we’ve seen. Unlike certain other Hashira, Himejima had the decency to apologize to Tanjiro for his initial treatment of him and Nezuko, showing that Tanjiro had managed to earn his full respect after the attack on the Swordsmiths' Village.
Using Muzan’s arrival at the Ubuyashiki mansion as a cliffhanger was a fantastic decision, giving the finale a very tense set-up. It really gives the feeling of an endgame move, and firmly signals that the peaceful days of training are over.Demon Slayer, from here on out, will be the final struggle against Muzan and his allies, and only one side will be able to come out on top.
