Speaking of meta, thebest Hunter builds,Titan builds, andWarlock buildsare often dictated by Exotic armor andExotic weapons. The meta for each class grew stale last season, but these new Exotics added in Episode Revenant have made things interesting once again.

New Exotic Armor

Mask of Fealty – Hunter Exotic

Mask of Fealty is a new Hunter Exotic helmet that is designed with Stasis builds in mind, which is great as Episode Revenant is very much a Stasis-focused season. It allows Withering Blade to ricochet, create Stasis crystals, and even add clear if you shatter enemies with it.

Here’s the official description of the armor’s exotic perk:

Blastwave Striders – Titan Exotic

Blastwave Striders is the new Titan Exotic leg armor that is charged up by getting explosive weapon final blows (Rocket Sidearms, Grenade Launchers, Rocket Launchers, etc.) to unleash a devastating wave of energy and several Stasis Crystals. It is effectively the Stasis version ofHazardous Propulsion, another Exotic that was released in The Final Shape.

Rime-Coat Raiment – Warlock Exotic

Rime-Coat Raiment is the new Warlock Exotic chest armor that enhances Stasis turrets by giving them more range and adding a Stasis crystal storm that both slows and freezes combatants who stand in your way. Basically, it makes Stasis Turrets even better, which is pretty incredible given how strong they already are.

How to get new Exotic Armor

Continuing with the unlock mechanism introduced in The Final Shape, new Exotic armors can no longer be obtained by completing solo Legendary or Master Lost Sectors. Instead, Guardians must rank up with Rahool in the Tower by decoding Prime and Exotic Engrams.

Assuming progression remains the same in Revenant, upon reaching Rank 16 with Rahool, a new ‘Tier 3 Focusing’ option will become available, allowing you to focus any Exotic armor in the game, including any pieces not yet owned.

New Exotic Weapons

Alethonym – Exotic Grenade Launcher

Alethonym is the new seasonal Exotic and a Stasis Grenade Launcher. It is the second GL that uses primary ammo after Fighting Lion, but that’s about where the similarities end. This newcomer is not only a solid add-clear weapon, but it can also create ammo bricks using its two Exotic perks, making it a top-tier option in high-end content.

Here are the official descriptions of Alethonym’s Exotic Perks:

Ice Breaker – Exotic Sniper Rifle

Released as the big reward for completingVesper’s Host, Ice Breaker makes its return, bringing back one of Destiny’s most iconic Exotic weapons. As before, it specializes in ammo economy, being able to self-load and generate ammo as you chain together final blows or assists. Combined with its high damage, this makes it an excellent option for your energy slot.

Slayer’s Fang

Coming in Revenant Act 3, Slayer’s Fang is a new Exotic that will be available from Kell’s Fall, the game’s next Exotic mission. It fires slug rounds that split into several munitions after hitting a target, making them ideal for efficient add clear. Equally, it will offer some useful utility, as the Void Shotgun can stun Overload champions and weaken enemy combatants.
