Warning! Minor spoilers ahead for Fallout season 1.

Summary

Falloutseason 2 will feature an important character from the video games, the showrunners reveal. Based on the beloved video game franchise of the same name,Falloutreleased on Prime Video earlier this year, following vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell) as she traverses a post-apocalyptic landscape. The show features many familiar characters and elements from the game, but doesn’t directly adapt any one game’s storyline. After earning positive reviews and becoming a major viewership hit,Falloutseason 2 is now confirmedto be on the way.

During a recent interview withVariety, showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet reveal thatRobert House, aka Mr. House, will play a role inFalloutseason 2. While the two showrunners don’t reveal any specifics about how the character will be featured in the show, they do tease that he’s connected to a key location that will be important in season 2. Check out Wagner’s comment below:

“Many of our lead characters are Vegas-bound. Las Vegas in the world of Fallout is Robert House’s town. Robert House will be involved in Season 2.”

Who Is Mr. House In Fallout?

How Robert House Is Connected To New Vegas

As Wagner suggests above, Mr. House plays a crucial role in theFallout: New Vegasvideo game due to his position as ruler of New Vegas. He’s generally presented as a key antagonist in the world of the games, though players can choose to side with him if they desire. Pre-War,Mr. House was the founder and CEO of RobCo Industries, and he played an important role in ensuring Las Vegas' safety during the events of the Great War.

It’s through Mr. House’s investment and security measures that New Vegas survives the nuclear war. Mr. House is a fairly regular human during the Pre-War era, buthe survives for hundreds of years during the Post-War period by putting his body into stasis. When the player does eventually encounter him, his body is essentially a shriveled up husk. TheFalloutseason 1 finaleteases that Lucy and the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) season 2 will be heading to New Vegas in the new batch of episodes, and this trajectory will evidently see them running into this unsavory figure.

Falloutseason 2 doesn’t yet have a release date and it’s not clear when it will start filming.

Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that Mr. House does actually make a cameo as part of thecast ofFalloutseason 1. Actor Anthony Misiano portrayed the shadowy figure, but it’s currently unclear whether Misiano will be reprising his role in season 2. Many questions remain aboutFalloutseason 2, but New Vegas and its inhabitents will evidently be playing an important role moving forward.
