Spaceballs 2 is officially happening, and you can already buy Mel Brooks’ Spaceballs: The Sweatshirt thanks to fans.
If you’ve never seen the 1987sci-fi movie, Spaceballs follows Mercenary Lone Starr and his alien sidekick as they set out to rescue Princess Vespa. She’s being held by an evil force commanded by the Dark Helmet – as you can guess, it’s a total parody.
Spaceballs 2is now set to arrive in 2027, and original actors like Brooks, Bill Pullman, and Rick Moranis will all be returning. New faces Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman (yes, the Pullmans will be teaming up this time) are set to join, though details around the film’s plot are being kept under wraps.

Brooks is set to reprise his role as Yogurt, despite turning 99 years old at the end of the month (meaning he’d be 101 by the time Spaceballs 2 actually came out). “After 40 years, we asked ‘What do the fans want?’ But instead, we’re making this movie,” he says at the end of the teaser.
