Fortnite secretly added Mythic item with one-in-a-million drop rate

Fortnite’s latest update brought back a nearly impossible-to-find mythic. The catch is it has a 1 in a million drop rate.

Mythic itemsin Fortnite are powerful and rare. They’ve been part of the game since Chapter 1. Players chase them for their unique abilities and game-changing power. Usually, mythics drop from bosses or special supply chests. Some have low drop rates, but none have been this extreme.

A discovery inChapter 6 Season 2shook the community. Data minerAllyJaxconfirmed that a mythic was silently unvaulted. It now drops fromGold Llamas. But with a 0.00001% chance, even seeing one is a miracle.

That mythic is the Mythic Goldfish. A throwable weapon disguised as a golden fish trophy. It deals 250 damage, instantly eliminating any player. After throwing it, players can pick it up again for another toss.

It first appeared in Chapter 2 and quickly became a legend. Back then, players fished for it, hoping for a miracle. Now, it’s even harder to find.

Some players have found it in Fortnite Reload. There, it appears in chests and supply drops. In the main game, though, it remains insanely rare.

Though AllyJax pointed out the Mythic Goldfish’s existence in the game files on April 18,Fortnitewaited a bit longer to let everyone know it was in there. This means some ultra-dedicated (or lucky) players got their hands on it while it was still a secret.

The player reactions are priceless. One joked, “Me getting the 1 in a million chance just to fumble it immediately.” Another said, “I actually found it in Reload a few weeks back. Cool to see it return.”
