Hollow Knight: Silksong’srelease date has been officially announced during a Team Cherry Special Announcement on August 21, ending years of speculation about the long‑awaited sequel.
The reveal came in the midst of Gamescom, in the middle of the second Xbox Showcase of the week. At exactly 3:30 BST, Team Cherry dropped aSpecial announcementon their YouTube page, which had been teased a few days before.

During this, fans received another major look at the game after a gameplay trailer was showcased during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. The trailer featured Hornet navigating new environments in Pharloom, showing off her agile movement and combat against a series of fresh enemies and bosses, and finally, a release date.
