The shotgun is arguably one of the best weapons you may use inSons of the Forest. It may not have the same range as therifle, but it deals a lot of damage to enemies, especially if you’re constantly landing headshots.
But that’s not the only thing that makes it so good. You can also upgrade the weapon by adding attachments to it, such as a Flashlight and Laser Sight, providing more utility in dangerous areas.

Where to find the Shotgun in Sons of the Forest
Before attempting to get the shotgun, make sure you haveobtained a shovelfirst. The reason for this is because obtaining this weapon requires you to dig up someone’s grave.
The grave itself can be found in the northwestern part of your map. In your GPS Tracker, this location is marked with a purple icon.
Assuming you’ve made your way there by following your GPS, you’ll want to keep an eye out for a cross made out of wood on the ground, as that is where you’ll find the shotgun underneath.
Once you’ve managed to find the grave, use your shovel to dig. Keep digging until the coffin is visible and then break it open. Inside, you’ll find the shotgun being held by a body. Simply press “E” to obtain it.
