Summary
A new mod forStarfieldfinallymakes space travel as simple as players have always wanted. One of the aspects ofStarfieldthat players were looking forward to the most was space travel, with the game boastingthousands of different planets to visit, but both of these aspects ended up falling short of player expectations. Traveling can be difficult, especially when each part of flying through space takes a handful of cut scenes to get rolling. Thankfully, mods can help ease the pain of traveling and make it as immersive as everyone was hoping it would be in the first place.
Thanks toRealityIDRon Nexus Mods, space travel can finally become a comfortable experience forStarfieldfans. This mod, known as Astrogate, has a variety of different options and modes for the ship’s navigation. The autopilot feature allows players to step away from the controls and roam their shipwhile it’s being piloted towards a chosen point.

“Supercruise” lets players set the speed of their ship automatically, so it cruises at that same speed without any input from the player. Lastly, is the “Surface Landing and Takeoffs,” letting players remotely launch and land their ships. All of these combined make for smooth and streamlined space travel inStarfield.
Starfield Is Getting Another DLC After Shattered Space, Todd Howard Confirms
More Starfield content is in the works, as confirmed by Bethesda’s Todd Howard, with hopes for many more expansions to come.
Astrogate Mod Makes Starfield Space Travel A Lot Easier
Features Like Autopilot & Remote Take Off Are Much Needed
Other aspects of the Astrogate mod include different modes for the autopilot. While on autopilot, players can choose between Standard, Intersystem, and Distance. Standard allows autopilot between the planet and its moons. The ship will automatically stop when it gets within range of the planet or moonand will let players land the ship remotely. Intersystem takes players between star systems and will make sure the player is piloting the ship before the jump is made to the other star system. The Distance mode gives players the opportunity to manually input how far they want to travel and will grav-jump them within seconds.
These pain points in space travel have been something players have been unhappy with since the beginning, and the mods RealityIDR made will likely make a lot of people happy. The time it takes to board the ship, get into the pilot’s seat, and finally take off is too long for a lot of people, especially since each step has a cut scene. Being able to remotely take off eliminates the in between and will ultimately make traveling across the Settled Systems much quicker and more enjoyable. This mod is likely to become one of thebest mods created forStarfield, as it addresses one of the game’s chief critiques.

ThoughStarfieldfell short of some expectations, new updates, upcoming DLC, and fan-created mods are helping make the game into something that players were hoping for from the start. Thanks to amassive update released in May, more features and bug fixes made the quality of life inStarfieldmuch better for players. Hopefully, Bethesda will focus on making the world even more immersive and continue to listen to the fans to make much needed changes.

Starfield
Bethesda Game Studios presents Starfield - the first original IP from the studio in twenty-five-plus years. Set in the year 2310, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective are observing a shaky truce after a war set 20 years prior. The player will customize their character as a member of a space exploration team called Constellation while navigating The Settled Systems and the conflicts between the warring factions. According to Bethesda, players can explore over 100 systems and 1000 planets to find resources and build their ships, living out their own sci-fi journeys.
