Jeff the Land Shark co-creator shares important advice for Marvel Rivals players

In an interview withPolygon, Kelly Thompson, who brought Jeff the Land Shark to life alongside Daniele di Nicuolo, gave a response regarding Marvel Rivals players who have been frustrated with Jeff’s “disruptive ultimate ability.”

“What they call annoying,” Thompson replied, laughing, “I call a skills issue.”

Not only that, but during the interview, Thompson also jokingly responded to players who were frustrated by Jeff’s overall gameplay, essentially telling them to “get better” before mentioning it’s a ‘skill issue’ yet again.

“I think they should get better at the game. Sounds like a skills issue to me, if my boy is beating your *** every night. I mean, listen, he has an incredibly powerful ult; just accept it, become zen about it. Everyone’s got upsides and downsides, right?”

While Jeff caused a lot of frustration in the beginning, many players have since figured out different ways tocounter him. His kit may be annoying, but he’s not even among thetop-tier charactersas of now, and there are so many ways to dodge his ult.

Cloak and Daggercan phase out just before the animation kicks in, or you may even haveLoki copy Jeff and save your teammates. Not to mention, there are mobile characters who can escape this situation.
