Leaked Marvel Rivals beach skins make ‘The Thong’ meme real
A host of potential new summer beach skins coming toMarvel Rivalshave been revealed early, including one that makes a popular The Thing meme a reality.
Marvel Rivals Season 2has finally arrived, bringing a freshBattle Passfull of gala skins, as well as the brand-new VanguardEmma Frost. But while the update itself has brought a ton of content, there’s plenty more to come down the line.
We already know thatUltronis arriving mid-season, but leaks have also revealed some summer beach skins coming soon, and they’re striking to say the least.
“The Thong” meme comes to life in leaked Marvel Rival skins
Marvel Rivals Infinity is a comic book that accompanies the hero shooter, fleshing out each character and telling self-contained stories. The events and outfits seen in each issue often make their way to the game eventually, and the latest issue reveals a summertime look for certain characters.
As shared by Miller Ross, among them is an outfit for The Thing, which sees him ditch his usual shorts for Fantastic Four-themed swimwear.

It didn’t take long for fans to latch onto the skin, comparing it to the hilarious “The Thong” meme that has circulated within the community. It’s safe to say they were more than happy to see it.
“THE THONG IS REAL,” replied one happy player.
“Definitely need this skin,” added another.

The Thing wasn’t alone, though, as Squirrel Girl and even Jeff the Land Shark also appeared in the comic, sporting summery looks that players instantly fell in love with.
Jeff’s skin saw the loveable shark wearing a green shirt and hat, complete with a Hawaiian flower garland around his neck, while Squirrel Girl had netted sleeves and flowers around her wrists and ankles.

It’s worth noting that it hasn’t been officially confirmed that these outfits will arrive in Marvel Rivals and skins, but many of the Infinity costumes have made their way to the game, so there’s a very strong possibility.
If and when they do, they will likely be available from the in-game store or as rewards from a special summer event.
