DuringLEGO: Horizon Adventures' Summer Game Fest reveal, Aloy breaks the fourth wall to tell the trailer’s narrator, “I have friends, y’know?!” before a gameplay sequence showed her teaming up with Varl through various levels. As is often the case withLEGO games, the second player’s characterwill likely have slightly different skills and abilities. Usually these enable them to access new locations or unlock different items, either during the main story or a Free-Play version of a level that can be revisited later. While a very different direction for Aloy, a multiplayerHorizonexperience is one the mainline series could really benefit from, and being able to experience it here sets this title apart even further.
There’s no word on whether the Hot Dog Guy character in the trailer’s opening moments will be playable in LEGO: Horizon Adventures, but it would certainly make for some amusing sequences if he were.

Despite this, there has been very little official information surrounding the multiplayer title, although there were some leaks of early alpha game footage back in January 2023.
The post-apocalyptic version of the United States seen in theHorizongames is so rich and immersive, and Guerrilla’s worldbuilding with thevarious tribes and charactersAloy interacts with on her journey has amassed an impressive cast that is ripe for a multiplayer title. Hopefully, there will be more information about the online multiplayer titles soon, but until then, fans of the series should certainly look forward to playing as some of their favorite supporting characters whenLEGO: Horizon Adventureslaunches during the 2024 holiday season.
