Marvel Rivals Hulk guide: Abilities, ultimate, tips, more
When it comes to tanks, aka Vanguards inMarvel Rivals, Hulk is one of the more complicatedcharacters, with three different forms to play as things can get quite tricky.
There’s far more to Hulk than smashing things apart though. He’s got great mobility in two of his three forms and can be formidable on the battlefield once you master his playstyle.

Hulk stats in Marvel Rivals
As we’ve alluded to already, Hulk has three forms:
As you go up the transformations, Hulk gets stronger and when you die as Monster Hulk, you’ll just return to Hero Hulk, and then again with Hero Hulk to Bruce Banner.
Bruce Banner weapons & abilities
Bruce Banner is the first, and weakest form of Hulk. His Primary weapon is a Gamma Ray Gun that carries 25 ammo, deals 16 damage, and has a fire rate of 5 rounds per second.
When it comes to Bruce’s abilities he can launch a Grenade, and transform into Hero Hulk. You can find a rundown of both in the table below:

Hero Hulk abilities
Hero Hulk is the form you’ll be playing as for most of the match and it’sbest to stay alive in this form for as long as possibleconsidering he has the most movement abilities to get out of bad fights.
He can swing his fists to punch enemies, generate shields for his allies, and leap across the map. We’ve got a complete breakdown of every ability in the table below:

Tips to play Hulk in Marvel Rivals
The most important thing when playing as Hulk isstaying alive. Since you essentially have three different lives, keep building your ultso you’ll always have atransformation ready.
If you find yourself as Bruce Banner often, you may be playing the hero wrong, as that form should be yourlast resortafter being killed as Hero Hulk.

When playing as Hero Hulk, his potential todive targets and cause a distraction in the backlineis great, so make sure tocoordinate targets with your Duelists. Additionally, alwaysbuild gamma energyas more time spent as Monster Hulk is great.
As both Hero and Monster Hulk, you havegreat mobility, so use it to go in and out of their backline. But always verify you have a leap ready to escape quickly. Finally,Radioactive Lockdownis a fantastic ability to initiate fights as the time that enemies are trapped gives you the opportunity to initiate a kill.
Best team comps
These are the heroes we would recommend pairing with Hulk in Marvel Rivals:
Doctor Strange & Iron Man
Having either Doctor Strange or Iron Man alongside Hulk in Marvel Rivals is a great idea. You can access the Gamma Charge Team-Up passive with them which will give Hulk a small health boost.
The biggest adventure is for Doctor Strange and Iron Man though as they’ll both be able to enhance different abilities with gamma radiation which makes them a lot more powerful overall.
If you want to know the best ways to play both heroes, we’ve got guides forDoctor StrangeandIron Man.
Hulk also shares a Team-Up Ability with Wolverine. While Wolverine can leap pretty far on his own, the Gamma Fastball lets Hulk throw him even further across the map.
It’s both a great way to reposition for an attack, or quickly get to safety if needed. Whether you’re on offense or defense, you’ll want to take advantage of these heroes together.

Best counters
If you’re struggling to defeat Hulk, we’d advise using one of the characters below:
Mantis’ Spore Slumber ability is perfect to stop Hulk in his tracks, especially if he’s rampaging in his stronger forms. To be really impactful with this, it’s best to hit him as soon as he’s turned back into Bruce Banner and then you can move in for a quick and easy kill.
Her healing abilities can also keep teammates alive if they’re being targeted by Hulk so, ultimately, she’s the best choice as a counter.
For the best way to play her, you may read our dedicatedMantisguide.
Storm has an arsenal full of buffs and debuffs and can wield either to get an advantage over Hulk; she can slow him down with the Goodess Boost ability or give his allies a movement boost with Weather Control.
She can also deal plenty of damage and slowly chip away at Hulk’s armor. Whether you’re attacking yourself or buffing your teammates to take Hulk down, Storm is a great option.
Make sure to give ourStormguide a look before you use her on the battlefield.
