The Ultimates#1 is written by Deniz Camp and drawn by Juan Frigeri. Six months prior, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne received packages, although they did not open them. These packages were “gifts” from Tony Stark, that told the two what their lives should have been. The duo learn that they were great heroes, and they can be again. Janet Van Dyne leaps immediately into action, but Hank is slower to come around. When he finally does, he makes an enormous impact-literally.
Pym squashes Captain Britain’s forces, and leaves a footprint that can be seen from space.
Ant-Man’s Powers Earned Him a Spot on the Avengers
Hank Pym is one of the founding members of the Avengers, alongside his ex-wife Janet Van Dyne. Over the course of his heroic career, Hank has held several different aliases, including Ant-Man, Yellowjacket and Giant Man. Regardless of what name he is using, Hank utilizes “Pym Particles” to alter his size. These Pym Particles have given Hank numerous advantages, and other heroes use them to shrink or enlarge themselves as well. Currently, the 616 version of Hank Pym is deceased, but on a different Earth, a new version is rising.
Past incarnations of Hank Pym have been overshadowed by his abusive relationships and history of mental instability. These are valid observations about Hank Pym, but he was also one of the most powerful members of the Avengers. As Ant-Man, he used his size against his opponents, causing them to underestimate him. As Hank morphed into Giant Man, his massive size gave him great strength, but there were limits to his power. His first Ultimate counterpart tapped out at 60 feet tall, and his 616 had similar limits.

No one will underestimate Giant Man again.
