MrBeast fires back at critics mad he opened hospital in Ghana to help child slaves

While it’s no secret that he’s got deep pockets (despite massive losses on his most ambitious projects), he’s not hoarding the wealth for himself.

Lately, the YouTuber has been bent on tackling child slavery in Africa, and revealed on April 6 that he’d built a surgical center in central Ghana to serve former child slaves of the country’s fishing industry.

Donaldson learned that children within the GMAD program struggled to receive medical attention due to the lack of medical facilities in the area and extremely long wait times for those nearest to them.

To help combat this issue, MrBeast funded the construction of a surgical center right in the GMAD compound, allowing the organization to service children within their local community.

The YouTuber was quick to clap back, reminding the commenter that Beast Philanthropy provides millions of meals to Americans every year.

“We do routine food drives in America and give millions of meals away for free to Americans each year,” he replied. “If I listed out all the projects we’ve done in America this tweet would be a book. Yet every time I help people in Africa, my top reply is ‘I don’t help my own country’ lol.”
