It’s time for Wednesday’sConnectionspuzzle and this one is a bit tricky. Most of the words are all titles of films, but some of them belong in a film-related category and some do not. However, with some help and some spoilers if necessary, we can help you keep your streak alive so you do not lose today’s puzzle.

Once you have finishedConnections, you might want to head back to theNYT site to tryWordle. Instead of grouping words, you will be asked to find the word of the day by guessing which letters go in which column. It’s a test of your knowledge of words as well as a logic puzzle to figure out what letters are right and which are not.

Today’s Connections Category Hints

JUNE 12 #366

For those who just want a little hint instead of the full answers, here are the categories for this Wednesday’s puzzle with full spoilers afterward:

MANHATTAN

WALL STREET

We struggled with this one, as DUMBO does not look like it belongs on this list. Perhaps if we lived in New York, we would know that it is a location in New York City, but as it stands we were trying to loop it with other categories. That being said, CHINATOWN, MANHATTAN, and WALL STREET all led us to believe that this was the category, it just took us longer to get there.

FRIGHT NIGHT

KILL BILL

This one could be confusing, as the titles do not rhyme with each other but rather themselves. With so many movies in theConnectionspuzzle today, figuring out which ones belonged together was difficult. However,Connectionsoften likes to put together categories that are there to trick the player, so spotting something like rhyming is a good way to attempt to separate words if nothing else is obvious.

Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.

THE GREEN MILE

THE LONGEST YARD

This one is likely difficult for any non-American players, as most of these units of measurement are not universal. However, one of the best ways to solve aConnectionspuzzle is to take a step back and look for similarities that are not necessarily meaning-related. This one might still be a bit challenging to figure out, but determining that connection will make the Purple category much easier.

FOXY BROWN

OCTOPUSSY

While still challenging, the Purple category today might be easier for those not raised on American measurements. Animals are much easier to spot and could help you figure out that the previous category had to do with measurements. Of course, DUMBO sort of fits with the animal theme but does not actually start the title with one.
