Twitch streamer panics to get away after man grabs her during Russia trip

Twitch streamer ‘Mhyochi’ was broadcasting her travels in St. Petersburg, Russia when she was approached by a local man who grabbed her in full view of the camera.

Hyojeong ‘Mhyochi ‘ Park is a fairly popular streamer onTwitch, where she boasts over 41,000 followers who tune in to watch her travels in various countries like Thailand, South Korea, and most recently, Russia.

The influencer was sharing her experiences in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second-largest city, on May 27 when she was approached by a man she’d seen earlier during her excursion.

The man put his arm around her, prompting Mhyochi to exclaim, “Yo, yo, yo, what’s up?” While adjusting her camera during the confrontation, viewers could see the man’s hand underneath her armpit, holding on to the left side of her torso.

“Sir, you are touching me,” Mhyochi said, attempting to flee the situation by telling him that her friends were waiting for her.

“Hi, how are you? I have to go fast because my friend is waiting.”

“Why do you have to go fast?” the man retorted. “I’m your friend, too. …I’m your best friend. Do you know why? Because it’s me.”

“I’ll go, and then I’ll see you later,” the streamer said. Finally, she was able to free herself from the situation and ran away, remarking on how wild the interaction was to her viewers.

“I wanna leave,”she told them. “Let’s go. …that was not okay. I didn’t like it. I don’t like it when people touch me like that.”

Concerned viewers poured in the chat urging her to check that her belongings hadn’t been pickpocketed by the man, but Mhyochi said everything was in place.

Unfortunately, this is far from the first time women have been the subject of uncomfortable and even dangerous interactions with men during IRL streams.
