Warzone player shadowbanned after game gave him wallhacks

AWarzoneplayer was left stunned after being kicked out of a match as it reached its climax — after some textures failed to render and essentially gave him free wallhacks.

In almost four years, Warzone has never managed to be devoid of bugs and glitches that can leave players scratching their heads, be it thegas mask glitchor even thedemon gun glitch, which fortunately hasn’t found its way back into the game in some time now.

That said, most of these bugs and glitches are frustrating, but not so much so that players can get banned — though evidently that isn’t always the case, as one player found out the hard way.

Sharing his clip to social media, Warzone playerAmarOriginalcouldn’t believe his bad luck when the game failed to render certain walls or textures on the rocks he was traversing, letting him see players through them.

While this did technically give him an advantage in-game, it didn’t take long for the game to cotton on to something weird happening — and punished Amar for the issue.

With just three players left and 19 kills, the floor upon which Amar was running started to go disappear and let him see right through, at one point exposing an enemy player that Amar was trying to find, to whom he quickly tried to shoot through the rocks, to no avail.

After rounding the corner and killing his opponent, Amar promptly found himself staring at a blank screen before getting a popup saying ‘Player Kicked.’

He checked online and, sure enough, his matchmaking had been limited, essentially meaning he got a shadowban, despite the problem being on the game’s end.

It’s unlikely Activision or Warzone devs Raven Software can retrospectively remove these bans, but no doubting Amar will be feeling incredibly hard done by after this.
